The Vanderbilt Data Science Institute (DSI) was established to accelerate data-driven research, encourage and promote collaboration, and train future leaders in data science. The DSI leverages data science experts and connects with academic leaders and industry partners to spark discovery and foster synergistic efforts in a variety of disparate knowledge areas.
With the development of a Master’s degree program whose focus is training students in computational and statistical data science methods, the DSI provides both academic training and project-based learning through student inclusion on available data science projects. Our program will prepare future leaders for careers in industry, government, academia, and the non-profit sector.
